Our in house design can work as a stand alone facility or in conjunction with customer existing ideas. Sometimes we are called upon to provide a manufactured solution given an original concept, other times it could be to add to an existing design. Most of the design and development work we undertake is for assembly jigs & fixtures, the manufacture of plastic injection mouldings and mould tools, stampings and pressed parts. Most often the tooling ends up being manufactured by us in our tool room, although we are happy to supply drawings either in CAD format or as printed out paper for customers to get manufactured where they wish. ![]() During the design process our experience of manufacture gives us the insight to adapt designs to make the transition to manufacture as smooth as possible always looking to reduce cost by efficient processes. Other tools available to us at the design stage through the use of our design software includes Design Validation, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Mould Flow Simulation to help determine such things as gate location and size. Our CAD system is fully intergrated with manufacturing via a range of CNC machine tools in the machine shop. More information on this can be found here CAD CAM or via the link in the Engineering section. |
